Locally, the Tory-run District and County Councils have given us one disaster after another. The District Council’s housing fiasco comes to mind. Want to know what a Conservative government would be like? Look around you.
We’ve got expensive white elephant projects like the Guided Bus, schools in special measures, a critical lack of both primary and secondary school places, massive cutbacks in services to the elderly, potholes everywhere, and bus services to our villages cut back or cancelled.
South Cambridgeshire’s next MP will have a lot to champion on our behalf, and will need to work closely with local councillors and residents to make sure that these and other local problems are tackled as effectively as possible, from all angles.
